We therefore work based on the following principles:

No collection of personal information from third parties.
It is voluntary whether you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, and you can unsubscribe yourself at any time.
You can always be told what information we have registered about you, in accordance with the Personal Data Ordinance, if you contact us.

Below you can read more about how we collect, protect and use your personal information.

Cookies

We do not use personally sensitive cookies. This means that we do not store personal data; but only information that helps you to be logged in and that remembers user behavior.

You can read more about the use of cookies in our cookie policy, which you can find here.

Logs and statistics

We use log statistics at www.checkmate.dk. This means that a statistics system collects information that can give a statistical picture of how many visitors our website has had, where they come from, which part of the website they fall from, etc.

At www.checkmate.dk we use log statistics with the aim of optimizing our website and its functions. Log statistics are used, among other things, to create increased user-friendliness and for targeted marketing.

Newsletter

If you choose to register for our newsletter and similar information, we save your name and your e-mail in order to be able to convey the desired information via e-mail.

You can unsubscribe from this service at any time via a link at the bottom of the sent newsletter.

If you have any questions about our processing of your personal data, you are very welcome to send us an email at [email protected].

Your rights under the Data Protection Act

In connection with our processing of your personal data, you have the following rights:

  • The right to receive information about the processing of your personal data
  • The right to access your personal data
  • The right to have incorrect personal data corrected
  • The right to have your personal data deleted
  • The right to object to personal data being used for direct marketing
  • The right to object to automated individual decisions, including profiling
  • The right to move your personal data (data portability)

All the above rights are handled manually by contacting us. Remember to state your full name and e-mail if you contact us. You can contact us at [email protected].

We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require a disproportionate amount of technical intervention (eg, developing a new system or significantly change an existing practice), affect the protection of others’ personal information, or something that would be extremely impractical.

If we can correct information, we will of course do so free of charge, unless it requires a disproportionate amount of effort. We strive to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from erroneous or malicious destruction. When we delete your personal data from our services, it is therefore possible that we cannot always delete associated copies from our archive servers immediately, and it is not certain that the information is removed from our backup systems before the retention period expires.

You have the right to complain to the Data Protection Authority at any time, by letter to the Data Protection Authority, Borgergade 28, 5. sal, 1300 København K or via the Data Protection Authority’s website (https://www.datatilsynet.dk/borger/klage-til-datatilsynet/)

Compliance and cooperation with regulatory authorities

We regularly review our own compliance with our personal data policy.

We also adhere to several self-regulatory security policies. If we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the sender to follow up on the complaint. We cooperate with the relevant legislative authorities, e.g. data protection authority, to resolve complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve directly with our users.

Changes

Our personal data policy may change from time to time. Any changes to this personal data policy will be indicated on this page, and if significant changes occur, we will draw attention to them in a more prominent way (for certain services, we inform about changes via e-mail, among other things).
